FAMILY & FUN

All work and no play makes us crabby and dull! Western Tractor creates opportunities for fun, and engagement during your work day and opportunities for family participation!

Communities we work and live in

Southern Alberta provides an excellent environment for both residence and family upbringing. Spanning our four locations, we boast two colleges, a university, two regional airports, and two franchises in the Western Junior Hockey League. The region is in proximity to winter snow skiing, featuring various sports venues, including world-class fly fishing. Positioned within a two-hour drive are an international airport, the Rocky Mountains, two World Heritage sites within an hour, and the United States border. Our mild climate ensures the warmest winters on the prairies, while the irrigation district supports diverse farming, ranching, and recreational activities.

What our current employees say...

“I have worked for Western Tractor since 1998. I was hired as the Customer Support Rep, and over years have been given the opportunity to work in many departments throughout the dealership. There are always opportunities to grow and there is really no limit as to what you can become. Western Tractor cares about their employees and it has a great benefit plan and safety plan. The best part is the times we get together for staff lunches or BBQs at the end of a busy season. We have 4 new buildings with the latest in computers and technology and it's all updated on a regular basis to keep up with a changing world. Western Tractor isn't just another John Deere Dealership. It’s always working with John Deere on future projects so they show leadership in the industry by always coming up with new ideas. If there is something new in the John Deere world you can be sure we will be one of the first to get it. Who wouldn't want to be a part of that? That's why after 23 years I'm still here. There is no better place to be.
Allan Koot
“Every manager at Western Tractor is very helpful and fair. Having a great work culture and fellow staff that are easy to work with, makes work FUN. No matter what part of the building you go to there is always someone willing to help you learn about how that department operates.”
